Whitkirk Tennis Club has been around for 100 years, and is still thriving, offering tennis for everybody in a friendly setting. Members aged from 5yr old to adult enjoy everything from coaching, camps and fun tournaments to competitive play throughout the year with 8 senior and 3 junior teams in the Leeds and Barkston Ash Leagues.

The club are passionate about making tennis available for everyone regardless of age or ability, and welcome new members. As part of this inclusive ethos, coach Cezar and his team are on the courts at Manston Park every Sunday throughout summer from 2.30pm – 4pm offering free family-oriented sessions for anyone to turn up and enjoy.

To get children playing tennis, there is also a Tennis for Kids course running which starts on Sunday 9th June. Children aged 5-11 receive 6 high quality lessons, a special Tennis for Kids Babolat racket, ball set and personalised T-shirt for just £25 plus p&p! Thousands of children have taken part in Tennis for Kids programmes in previous years and really enjoyed the experience. There are follow – on offers for those wishing to continue after the course is complete. As well as this initiative, the club run tennis camps in most half terms, and for older children there is the chance to achieve sports leadership qualifications.

For adults, the club offers a chance to socialise and make new friends as well as a way to keep active through tennis – be it just as a hobby, or competitively.
