East Leeds based football club, Colton Athletic FC are thrilled to have received a financial boost from Halton firm Digital Panther with their new sponsorship deal.
Colton Athletic has two adult squads with 45 players ranging in age from 17-48yrs old, playing in the Yorkshire Amateur League. The first team are currently in Division 2 and the reserves in Division 3. The club has a long history within the league, and this recent sponsorship deal with Digital Panther is a huge step forward, particularly in a time where many adult football clubs are finding funds difficult to come by.
Chris Gibson, manager of the first team at Colton said “Colton Athletic are very grateful for the support that Digital Panther have given us. The injection of funds is a huge boost to the club and the players”.
Colton Athletic FC home fixtures are played at Temple Newsam Estate, whilst their away fixtures are played at grounds across West Yorkshire such as Huddersfield, Wakefield, Bradford and Leeds, and the teams are enjoying stepping out onto the pitch in their new kit which the sponsorship has provided.
Since its inception, the club has seen much success over the years and more recently, has achieved promotions from the lower divisions of the league which has improved player recruitment and an increased hunger for even more success.
Owner of Digital Panther, Martin Smith commented “It’s great to be involved with Colton, a club within the local community. Our support raises their profile, and that they are able benefit from our financial support is fantastic.”
